Climate zones
Climate zones are areas with similar weather patterns. These are usually found on similar lines of latitude. Micro-climates are formed in areas with specific geographic conditions. These geographical conditions may affect the weather patterns in a certain area.

Tropical
- Normally found close to or South of the Equator
- Rainforests are typically located in a wet tropical environment
- Savanna areas or wet and dry areas experience a dry season with 60mm or less of rainfall during the season
- Monsoon tropical areas experience a rainy season and a dryer season
- They are warm and generally humid
